Anyone hatching on 6/13??

I have 42 eggs in my incubator, only 4 look questionable at this point. 6 guinea eggs, 1 duck egg, and 8 silkie eggs aren't due to hatch until the 20th. The rest are due to hatch on the 13th. I have a broody on a dozen that are due to hatch on the 13th also.

I have 32 eggs from a barnyard assortment that are due to hatch on the 13th. I candled them today and all of them are still going strong.

I set 35 eggs and candled last night and 5 weren't fertilized. So I have 30 that with a hatch date of the 14/15th. Can I join in? This is my first hatch.

I had only planned on setting about 20-24 but it took longer than I expected to iron the kinks out of the incubator stabilization. So I kept collecting and just set them all.

I just had 10 hatch and one more working its way out, FBCM due to hatch tomorrow w/ one already pipped, Lavender Orpington and more FBCM on Sunday, and two peahen eggs and 24 quail eggs due on Wednesday. Whheeewww that's alot, but what am I gonna do when they all finish hatching?

We have 22 eggs left and about 12 have veining/bouncing babies! The rest were too dark shelled to tell because what I am using to candle is pretty weak.

Any suggestions on what to use to candle? We are using a large flashlight at the moment.

Search candling torch on google. I found a great candler at strombergs. Its a candling torch. I didn't think there was much to it when it showed up but it is good even when looking through the dark blue copper maran eggs. Thats what I use, and I think it would be a lot better then a big flash light

I can't wait to see how many we'll have hatch, and to have little fuzzy butts running around and peeping.....

I haven't candled yet, I'm almost afraid of not finding anything alive, but will do that over the weekend to see what's going on.

It's nice to have some hatching buddies, I can come whine to ya'll instead of having my poor dh listen to me go on and on and on about the eggs!
