Anyone Hatching on the 27th or 28th? - I Need Hatching Buddies!!

I have eggs that are due to hatch on the 27th! They are under my broody buff orpington. My Broody Buff Orp She has 12 Welsummer eggs under her! WooHoo! Can't wait until they hatch!

Yeh, I know, I posted last night that I was hatching the 20th! I've got another incubator due the 27th! Some tiny Seramas, Black Copper Marans, some Bantam White Cornish, and misc.. Hatched 5 Seramas from a different source today and they can walk under a standard size chick from the same hatch! I can't help but love 'em! More of the same as next week due yet today...................I'm waiting! I'm not very good at waiting. I have a confession to make......I helped all 5 of the Seramas out of their eggs and 3 of them hadn't even pipped! They are just fine too It works on the small ones, they don't bleed like a bigger breed. My guess is, their blood cells are the same size as a bigger chick's but their blood vessels are much smaller. A very un-educated guess. You still must be very careful, peel the shell away, without puncturing the membranes, let the membranes dry and blood flow slow or stop, then go in for the chick's head, and if the chick isn't strong enough, over the next few hours, slowly pull the chick free. I'll get some flack for this, but I got tired of 'em dying in the shell because they were too weak to do the work themselves. This small incubator thing is very imperfect, I had 5 other chicks that were already dead in the shell, without even pipping! Boo Hoo! Tim Happy hatching!!!!

**My Mutts: Dot and Caramel. Not sure why, but these mutts breed TRUE. There is also Peanut(Caramel's Daughter) and Nougat(Caramel's Full Sister) who look like Caramel except Nougat has more white and Peanut less. I lost Caramel's Mother(Snickers) last year. My precious Snickers is my avatar.

May 29th: A load of eggs in the incubator from Dipsy's Blue Ameraucanas. As soon as they start hatching the little ones will be moving out to Momma, a standard buff Orp.
