Anyone have a clue what these are?

Lemonbar. Buff orpington roo x barred hen. If you breed the roo back to barred hens you will get some lemon barred hens that are true breeding.

Cross breeds
Buff orpington X barred rock wouldn't have that comb or that pattern.
Here that cross is called buffbars. Breeding a F1 back to barred doesn't produce true breeding birds.

I didn't say barred Rock. I said barred HEN.
So any barred hen other then a barred rock or is it a certain breed of barred hen?
The barred part is the problem with breeding true not the rock part.
Unless the hens are barred buff crossing back to a barred hen is breeding away from the buff. Hard to get buff barred when breeding in non buff birds. Impossible to get true breeding ones when crossing with non buff birds.

Mystery Bantams - Not Nankins ...
Hi There - Did you ever figure out what these are? They're definitely not Nankins. I have Nannies and, besides the overall look, there is no "ticking" in their feathering at all. The roo looks like an Old English Crele Game Bantam - with maybe a bit of Nankin or Japanese in him. The cross would account for the beautiful green in his tail. The hens could easily be a Creel/Nankin cross. Again, the ticking gives them away. If the seller couldn't chase them anymore, that sounds like Old English Game bantams, too. They're very active and can be pretty flighty. Nannies are generally very calm and social. The black and white hen is totally out of my realm - maybe a bantam Dominique or bantam Barred Rock? Even if they are all crossbreds - they sure are beautiful!
