Anyone have a hobby that doesn't involve yarn and sewing?

Does repairing an elderly house count as a hobby? Sorta like "woodworking"? I do a lot of that...does re-tiling laundry rooms and bathrooms count as "ceramic art"?

I garden, fish in the local lakes, cook. Brew beer, mead and hard cider. Go hiking with my dogs sometimes.

I had a garden last year, but this year it just didn't happen. I do fish, but don't really consider that a 'hobby'

Stained glass is interesting, I hadn't thought of that! I wouldn't have any idea of where to get materials in my area though

Fish can very easily be a hobby. People create beautiful planted tanks and build there own tanks and everything. I am a member of a few fish forums that are huge.

Unfortunately, I live with my dad. We have 1 goldfish in a 10 gallon tank, and that's all we're allowed (1 10-gal-tank). So this poor goldfish is all alone, cause it is too big to have a friend

It's a good idea though! If I can ever get my own place, I'll look into that.

So tell me more about stained glasswork? Where would you get the materials at?

So, what kind of fish do you have?

I let my mom pick out the fish for the 40 gallon so she would help with mantainence and take care of them when I go to college. So she picked Cherry barbs and gold barbs(ewww)
My boyfriends betta is in my 10 gallon and it looks like its gonna stay that way

Ahem...... I think some are talking about fishkeeping and some are talking about going fishing!

As for glasswork, check the yellow pages for stained glass- there's usually a business that gives lessons and sells supplies.

Hmm.. I have a 55 gallon freshwater and a 60 gallon saltwater hexagon tank.

The 55 gallon I got for my birthday about.. 3-4 years ago and has 3 feeder goldfish, a blue gourami, 3 tiger barbs (started with five but two were eaten by my Pleco that I have).

The saltwater tank currently has 1 Hepatus Tang, 1 Coral Beauty Angelfish, 1 Lyretail Chromis, 1 Yellowtail Damsel, 1 Ocellaris Clownfish, a Skunk Cleaner shrimp, 2 brittle stars, some Nassarius snails and a large hermit crab that I really want to get rid of. Of course with live rock.

There are stained glass stores in my area. It's about an hour to the best one. There are many suppliers online. I get glass shipped all the time. Even ebay is a good resource.

They even carry supplies at our Hobby Lobby.
