Anyone have a pic of a Rhode Island Red Hen?

I'm looking for a pic of one who has recently just started to lay. Mine is 20 weeks old and I heard her sing the egg song this morning. She's still pink in the face and hasn't squatted at all. Maybe she's just teasing me?

This girl has recently started laying. Right about 5 months when she dropped the first egg and this photo was probably a week or so before that first egg.

Mine isn't nearly as red as yours. Is she playing a trick on me?

Mine are only 14 weeks sorry I can't help you. I hope someone post a pic for you, I would like to compare it to my girls.

my rhode island red is 20 weeks and she laid her first egg yesterday. She is redder than yours though. Hope this helps.

The comb will darken (more red) as she gets ready to lay. The feather colors are the same as our RIR hens.

Ours are laying nicely now that they have begun. They started a couple weeks after the Buff Orps.

I don't know how accurate this is, but my pullets started to grow feathers right along their face right before they layed. The one we had that didn't lay never grew those feathers.
