Anyone have a sleep number bed????????

We tried them out in the store, which I admit isn't the same, but still...we weren't impressed. We ended up going with memory foam and will never ever have a "regular" bed again...we just love it!

I thought I would love those sleep number beds, but I tried them out in the store and couldn't stand them. At 5' 7" & 125 lbs they were not comfy to me, or to those with me ranging in weight from 80 lbs to 200 lbs. It basically felt just the same as deflating any ol' air mattress to the point of sinking down into it at varying depths. Felt hard no matter where it settled just like any air mattress does. I didn't care at all for the memory foams, either, so I got a King's Down set that is so very comfy without any pressure points. (The King's Down was around $2500? if

I recall correctly, so it was priced similar to the others at that time.)

We don't have a sleep number bed, but one of the earlier inflatables by the same company. The foam inserts that surround the air bladders are really worn down and need replacing, but other than that we love the bed.

The #1 reason? You can unzip the top padded cover and wash it. In fact, the entire bed is washable. If we run it through a heavy duty washer, then it gets rid of most of the sweat, dead dried skin, and dust mites that get embedded in traditional mattresses.

I have a sleep number bed and I love it. I have fibromyalgia and a bad back, so it really helps to be able to adjust it to whatever setting I need on any given night.

For me the only con is in the...uh...adult relations department. Suffice it to say that they are best for sleeping and not much else. (Sorry if this is TMI.)
