I am so upset....a critter must have captured my beautiful mallard drake last week. He has 3 hens sitting on nests and he disappeared 5 days ago and hasn't returned
I am really worried the girls will not know what to do without him. One hen left her nest and didn't return to it and now all she does is sit in a corner of the duck pen...doesn't even go out to visit the other hens on their nests. Anyone else ever lost a drake? Should I get them another drake or will they be ok? Soon there will be about 20ish ducklings running around. Each hen on the nests has about 15 eggs each....hopefully all won't hatch out.
Anyone have an extra mallard drake that is pretty friendly and likes the ladies
? He would have a beautiful backyard and a fun river to swim in.
