Anyone have an idea as to the breed of this chicken?

Indeed! Wonder what caused it. Like, if they are the same mixed breed, how come mine is an EE?
If someone made a cross using a Cream Legbar grandparent, it would be easy for the for the blue egg gene to be passed down to some chicks and not others, and the same for the crest and various other features. So getting two that look alike but lay different colors of eggs would not be too surprising, depending on what other breeds are in the mix.

That makes a good deal of sense. We bred a white silkie with that black and white hen and got all sorts of variations. Some were full silkies, some looked almost identical to mom, some were a in between mix.
