Anyone have an idea of what type of chicken this is?

S/he is at least 2 or 3 months now and pretty small. About 6-7 inches tall, very friendly (more so than any other bird we have) and has a very pretty sounding noise - like a wild bird or a house pet. Any ideas?

Hmmm, she is feathered like my Salmon Faverolle, but doesn't look as bulky, especially in her face. I'm thinking she is a cross. How many toes does she have? And, could I see a better pic of her tail? It's odd because her body seems pretty bulky but her head and neck don't look very Faverolle-y at all.

Just saw your post hdowden, didn't think about wheaten game. I'm not very familiar with game birds, but that makes more sense.

wouldnt have any Faverolle in her due to the lack of 5 toes, lightly feathered legs, and no beard

Yeah, I don't know to much about all the game-only colors (too many, too lazy) or genetics (too many rules, too lazy). I've got my 7th grade life science course, but hopefully eighth grade holds something more?

Ha! Not a happy bird tonight. She was less than thrilled when I took a few pictures of her/him
Legs and feet are pink - with 4 toes. A wheaten? Hmmm I don't have any of those and haven't hatched any wheaten eggs (well not on purpose *L*)
but s/he doesnt look like anything else we have so s/he's my mystery bird.

looks like the darker feathers are gray in color which makes her a blue wheaten if they arent a grayish color then just a wheaten
