Anyone have any ideas of how to make some money working at home?

I don't work or have a car to work somewhere and I sometimes have to help my husband get stuff ready for his work. I was trying to think of stuff to do that I could make some simple money from while at home. Was wondering if anyone had any ideas? I can draw but I have a hard time finishing stuff and it takes me a while. Also don't know if I'd even make anything off of drawings to be worth doing. Also there are to many Amish around that sell eggs even though I only have a few hens anyway that never started laying yet.

Too bad you don't have a vehicle. Have you seen that show "Pickers"? They aren't really pickers- they pay for the stuff- but you can pretty much make your own hours picking up cool stuff and selling it on ebay.

Another fun thing to do at home is pottery. If you can get yourself set up- sell on ebay or at local arts & craft shows. People go crazy for that stuff.

I've never tried pottery but it sounds like it would be fun. I haven't seen the show Pickers but from what you said it sounds like what my sister does. She looks for what is popular in the scrapbooking stuff on ebay and then when she comes across the items in the store that are marked down she buys and resells it. She has even boughten stuff off ebay that was in a large package that people must of not seen and then takes out what she wants and resells the rest. I have seen insect bracelets and necklaces on ebay that might be easy to do and fun. Just have to buy the materials/insects, then learn how to make the bracelets and necklaces, and the proper way to pour the stuff around the insect to avoid bubbles. Knowing my luck on that one I wouldn't want to sell any. Could get the bigger insects and make the paperweights to save time. If I get into doing the pottery maybe I'll do some chicken themed ones. I wonder where a good place to sell them would be.

soap, farmers markets.
Handmade tea towels with chicken, flower, fruit, vegetable embroidery , and useful things that you would spend no more than five dollars for if you were out having fun at a farmers market.

Never would have thought of soap. Might have to look into that. Been so long since I did any embroidery. Had to do it in school but it was fun.

I have a friend who works at a call center. All her work is done from home. You do have to have a newer computer and a high speed connection though.

I work from home for a local plastics plant. Simple assembly and inspection work mostly. I am considered an independant contractor and deal with my own taxes. Saves them money and makes me money, they deliver and pick up to my home.

To get started on something like that I suggest you put together a cover letter and distribute to any local business.
