Thank you. I know what you mean, I want them all. These are Welsh Harlequin's and they're on the critical list. I'm going to try to hatch out more. I have 4 sold on the next hatch. I hope I get a better hatch this time after I tweak it a bit.

I'm so Bummed! I think that Diamonds clutch of eggs was a total bust not a single chick yet and they are 3 days over due according to my calendar, some of them were pipped but nothing more. I let her and henna keep 4 that I thought might still have a chance but its looking pretty Bleak....... Diamond has never failed to hatch her eggs out so don't know what went wrong.......

Misty's 10 Coronation Split eggs aren't due for another 17 days.............

"Ex" is happy he said i don't need anymore chicks!! Hes not really an "Ex" yet but hes workin on it. LOL .

Ok soo 22 eggs were not fertile and one was a quitter. may have another quitter but im not sure. Soo i tossed 23 eggs. Have about 60 left. started with 117. Most wernt fertile

Well, I candled last night, for my first time ever, with the help of WLLady....( we met on here.. and she lives close!! About 3 hours, lol), AND the help of Skype, and a camera! She walked me thru it, and she could see exactly what I was seeing. Once I got the hang of it, it wasn't hard to see what I was supposed to see. I have out of 24 eggs, 18 eggs with moving embryo's! One, I am not sure about.. theres an embryo in it.. but also a dark ring around the bottom of the mass/yolk. It wasn't moving like the others. And, 5 that have nothing in them, so infertiles. It was awesome, seeing those little things jumping and swimming around in there, amongst their spider web veins, lol. Last night was day 8.

Somehow I only set 2 eggs at once and now those two are in lockdown today. Holw did I manage to set only 2??? lmao....candled my first batch of 13 turkey eggs again and I'm quite sure two are infertile but the rest I see veins

i had 12healthy chicks 4 with messed up legs and 3 didnt hatch i guess thats not so bad the 1s with messed up legs are worse then the 1s that didnt hatch when you dont know how to care for a special chick

Well my 2 eggs that I set in lockdown yesterday are hatched out

The first one hatche completely out 2 hours after lockdown actually started lmao my chickies are so impatient to enter the world. The other hatched this morning. The first is a chick from my pure Buff Orp roo and a RIR/CornishXRock meat hen. The second one is a mix of my Buff Orp roo and a Red-Sex Link Hen.

This is not my year for hatching

I just candled my shipped Sussex eggs and all 10 were clear, It is day 7, I broke open 2 and they weren't even fertilized, But I put the other 8 back under Misty and will re-candle in a few days and see if anything is happening then If nothing happens I guess I will toss them too and chalk it up to experience.
