ok just did the first candling 8 days into it..had 30 reg size eggs ended up with 27!!! And two banty which are good to go also!!! So now we wait!!! YAY

I recently purchased my first two incubators last week and bought almost 2 dozen "test" eggs to practice on.. If I do everything correctly they should hatch on April 1-2nd =D I'm simply excited.. one dozen is cubalaya and the other is a mix of various hens to various roos...

Ok I set 20 eggs on Monday and just candled them and only half have a blood ring..the rest look like this pic, should I let them in the bator longer or just cut my losses and toss them? I don't have alot of experience with candling but I turned it all around and there are just a bunch of air bubbles......

i have an LG too. take a staw and put it through the air hole in the top and pour water into it to fill the center water channels. they could be stuck in there shells cuz to low humidity. it sounds funny but it works-- i usually get a maxi pad, and wet it, and put it in there. it holds alot of water and helps alot with humidity

but now there crawling around moving some eggs is that fine? I regret not puting a towel. I didnt think it would be this messy
