Anyone have luck catching a feral chicken?? UPDATE: Rooster caught, no hen

Better than the coons.. I used to have nightmare that I fell off the ladder and was paralyzed .. then the coons ate my face off.
My relatives keep worrying because I live alone and keep fussing at me, putting silly thoughts into my head... I did get a cell phone so they could keep track of me

We need smaller phones for the bird to fetch it to me! Now, voice activated calling, watch out, parrots can do that!

I can see that with parrots especially African grays, years ago I had an African grey named Echo that could mimic my voice so my husband and dogs couldn't tell the difference. She would make the sound of my husbands alarm and call his name, he'd come down stair to find me getting ready for work (I had to work 2 hours earlier than him) he'd go back upstairs mumbling choice words about the bird. She would also whistle and call the dogs for "cookies" when they came running into the room she would give a big belly laugh.

Here is a little bit of an interesting story that happened today. I went out earlier to gather eggs. I found our New Hampshire pullet, Dottie (for the black dot on the back of her neck, well above her hackle markings), on the nest, trying to lay an egg. I picked her up, gathered the eggs and put her back. When I went out later, I saw her standing outside the nest box singing the egg song. When I looked in the box, I found this egg. I think it is funny that Dottie lays spotty eggs.
