It kind of reminds me of those chimera cats. So a nat geo article said it's caused when 2 sperm fertilize an egg, which makes sense, but I wonder if it happens more often, but it's to male sperm/ 2 female sperm that fertilize and since it's the same gender you can't tell that it's happened. It also said that they only have one reproductive system, not both. Still super cool... so you could have a 'rooster' who lays eggs. It says it didn't test for reproduction though. So interesting! Thank you for sharing. Now I wonder if this is what's going on w/ some of those people who can't tell for sure if they have a pullet or cockerel.
