Anyone have luck catching a feral chicken?? UPDATE: Rooster caught, no hen

Well today has been a day of good news.

My 16 month old son finally seems to be getting better. His fever disappeared after his nap this morning! He's still fussy and clingy, but at least he isn't still burning up.

And I got the check from the livestock auction and it isn't anywhere near as bad as I thought. I thought my trios had sold for $9 and $8 a box. Except the bidding price wasn't per box, it was per head. So the Delawares sold for $27 and the New Hampshires sold for $24. After the auction took their bit (25% + $1 per box), I got $36.25. Which really isn't near what the birds are worth, BUT much better than the $10.25 I thought I would be getting. I was hoping to at least buy another bag of feed with the proceeds. This covers a bit less than 1.5 bags of feed. So I'm happier about my experience. Not thrilled, but I feel much better about the whole thing.

I had strep throat alot growing up and ds has had his fair share too. And not once have we ever had it without a fever and feeling terrible. He has had days he hasn’t felt the best the past couple of weeks, but still went to school and made it until bedtime.

I will let him know rjohns! Thanks peep friends.

I had tonsilitis so much, my tonsilectomy had be rescheduled over 10 times in a year since I would always get an infection right before the surgery (FUN FACT, I was in the middle of surgery when Reagan got shot!).

Crazy chickens! I have 2- 6 wk old Bantam cochins I found a little bit ago feather pulling, screaming, back and forth with each other. It was kind of brutal to watch. One is in the time out pen. I know interfere too much, but I cannot help it. No telling what I miss the other 22 hours I am not watching.
They probably do terrible things like....run with scissors and pick their nose. :lau
