Anyone have luck catching a feral chicken?? UPDATE: Rooster caught, no hen

Pics
But does anyone have real info on the hen hunt? Have I missed anything, more sightings? Obviously, she has not caught the hen yet. Would love to know what all she has tried, so we can send her off to do other things that probably won't work either.

From what I have read, she hasn't seen or heard the hen. She has set out the traps and cams, but as FAR as I know, no, no more sightings.

I do not think there is a hen, I think it was just the cockerel all along. I know you are all hoping for a hen to saunter on out of the woods with a flock of babies in tow but I am doubting it at this point.

Gary

Gary I appreciate your opinion, but you just rained on my parade. Popped my balloon. Put a hole in my rowboat, lol

I thought we were hunting the elusive goose that lays the golden eggs, lol

Some believe in unicorns others dont. When so much hate and fright is going on it's nice to have a little fun to take ones mind off the serious. I'm sure many have wondered same, but it doesn't hurt to have hope.

And as I was so kindly reminded in a private message on BYC this is a FAMILY FRIENDLY site so there may be many children following this thread as well.

Let them have some fun too when we've debunked the Easter Bunny, Santa Claus and the Tooth Fairy.

Thanks. That's helpful. I can do more on my phone than I can on my computer. I try to reserve that for writing since a new one isn't in the budget right now.
I think we should all stick together for the next escapade though.
It dawned on me today that if this hen is out in the woods sitting on a clutch of eggs...we could be here for weeks!
We need snacks, we dinner recipes, we need craft projects, we need one of you to make me a chart indicating who's married to whom, and we need an app developer to create a game called Catch that chicken.

Also:

ow wow ! Genius! I'm going to try that.
"A chart telling who's married to who" ...... Now that's funny. :lau
