Anyone have luck catching a feral chicken?? UPDATE: Rooster caught, no hen

Well... everyone was right about them definitely trying!

The bantam boys and Squatch are back in the slammer because they were running down and romancing everything they could stick their dirty little bantam butts on!

It was so chaotic! They were so determined! Like a pack of randy little velociraptors! How did I not see that coming?

Luckily I'm not hatching anymore eggs out for a while. Good thing!

Yes, they can... you would be surprised what they can accomplish when they're determined... offspring would be closer in size to hen though, size is directly related to egg size when bantam/lf crosses happen...

This is a hilarious mental image!

It was so bad!

I could do nothing to stop it!

One would distract me while two others would slip in like little bantam ninjas and fertilize my Cream Legbars with their little bantam seed!

Every time it would happen a little piece of me would die inside.

I lost a lot of things that day... my purebred Cream Legbar eggs for the next couple of weeks, my respect for my Legbar hens, and my respect for Reggie my Legbar rooster. He let it happen!

Ok these may be silly questions but...
Does having another rooster around make them friskier? Like some kind of competition for top rooster?

Bantams are frisky mostly first thing in the morning
Is it just bantams or roosters in general?

I feel like I'm a preteen again asking about the birds & the bees!!
