That is hilarious!!!My lab/gsp was Clayton when he came to our rescue, he is now Crouton.![]()
They are too smart for some owners, you see those birds at the rescue places. Dylan barks at the crows, she wants them to think she is a dog! She beeps just like the microwave, people come to the food beep!Ok, that is seriously funny!! A bird that speaks Bird, Dog, English, uses humor (correctly & for their own amusement), and understands the concept of protection/deterrance....scary smart! I love it!!

Dylan is 23. I have had her for just about a year now. They can make just about any sound, she imitates the tone of voice people use, she can sound just like me or her former owner. Sometimes she speaks Spanish, then English
They enjoy training, and it keeps us both out of trouble! Dylan is learning potty training. She has a night cage where she sleeps 7pm to 7am, I get her up and take her into the bathroom where I hold her over the toilet, and she poops. They she gets to go to the daytime cage and get treats. That is about 1/2 of the poop load for the day. She has not pooped in the night cage for over 6 months. Nice not to have to clean 2 cages!I've been clicker training ours.
He LOVES it! When he wants to train he makes the clicker sound.
He gives me a fist bump and rings his bell for treats. We love him and all of his sounds![]()
Some are shy about being handled especially by new people. They learn what comes with emotion, so they pick up things from kids pretty easy. They never stop learning, but one that has had a bad experience never forgets. I sat by Dylan's cage without handling her for over a month when we first got her.We use to have a grey when I was a kid unfortunately he was caught out in the wild by someone so he was a bit mean the only one that could really handle him was my dad he was the only one that really had his trust my uncle who was the one that had him before us didn't even have his trust the way my dad did but anyway his name was Grey had a small vocabulary he would say Hola Grey or Hola Loco and after he started living with us he picked "yeah" "no" and cuz when my mom would tickle me I would scream for my dad to help me he pick up "HELP" and also cuz of my grandma he would act like he had the sniffles he didn't like brooms or mops or men in hats or white shirts Im sure it had to do with the caught in the wild thing but man the second you would turn the vacuum on he would go to town on his swing and he would dance his little butt off to some music especially latin music and boy oh boy did he love his fruits and peanuts
I miss his mean old butt
