Thank you Stacey. I forgot to mention, DH lost his 23 year old son (also hit by car) 5 years ago. A lot of young death in my family, unfortunately.
I know how hard it is. You have good days, and bad days. And you'll always be fragile. Suicide is a whole other awful ballgame...
Something like that irrevocably divides your life into two parts. Before. And After. Because you are never again the same person.
That is why I don't take the little sh*t in life so seriously any more. In the scheme of things, it doesn't matter. Only who you love and who loves you back, really, is the most important thing, I think.
I just read this entire thread and you guys are a hoot! So entertaining! I really hope Ms. Squatch is found soon and that she is safe and sound.
Lovely.I met someone along time ago that showed me a really nice remote controlled car up on a display shelf. She pointed out to me that when they bought it for young son they told him when he got older he would be able to play with it. Sadly he never got the chance after an accident that left him hospitalized for quite some time.
I've never forgotten that and try to share the gift she's given to me.
My heart and prayers go out to all of you that have suffered the loss of a child. There is nothing more that I can add to what everyone one else has so eloquently voiced.
I know how you feel... believe me I am a big softy and can't stand to watch them pick at each other but......You have to remember that they don't have human emotion and they don't see things from a human perspective. If you watch them.....the ones getting picked on take it in stride and get over it quickly. It's what chickens do. So let them sort it out ( as long as there is no bloodshed)Y’all!!!! I am not good at letting chickens sort out the pecking order! Especially when the new ones are smaller. I feel so stupid! I am so tempted to take these small ones back and get larger ones, if she would even let me??? What should I do? There are still 4 Silkies their size and 2 are larger. I know soon they will all be the same size, it is just a matter of time. In my own little perfect worldly mind, all chickens are BFF’s!![]()
