Anyone have luck catching a feral chicken?? UPDATE: Rooster caught, no hen

Here are some close-ups of two of my 3.5 week old babies that my Mama hatched.
They are Black Cochin/Dominique or Dom cross sex links.

This is Penguin. You can see why I named him that from his baby picture.

These babies are growing quicker than any other babies I've had.

We're controlling them better this year, but still not so great. We have bug spray inside and out (professionally done) so they don't live long, but its a nightmare to keep up with them. I don't even want to talk about my garage. I've surrendered there and will set off a bug bomb in a couple months then go clean them up.

For me its stink bugs and lady bugs that bite.

The biting lady bugs are the Japanese beetles!!! Evil imposters!!!!!!!!

Last year we barely had them, the year before they were horrid....bad this year too. All over my living room- I'm about to go grab the shop vac

These seem similar to my Legbar X Cuckoo Marans cross that turned out to be Auto-sexing.

Males are barred and females Cuckoo.

That's IN my living room. They smell when you vac them up too! Nasty little buggers.

I LOVE Reggie and Molasses! I believe Molasses is the prettiest (or handsomest) black Cochin I have seen.

Japanese beetle. Killer of rose bushes.

Asian lady beetle. Nasty pest that does not die.

These invasive stink bugs came over from Asia in a shipping container, I think. They started off NE and have spread over the past few years. I think that is what I read.
