I guess I am probably dreaming that I would be able to incorporate day old chicks with 8 week old chicks. I still have some chicks that are extremely small. I am sure it will be a headache! I have a divider in my small coop to keep Sesame away from the chicks and nothing like trying to add a 3rd spot in there for day old chicks. I have lost my mind!

Thank You everyone for your kind words.

My biggest concern is for my pets. Chickens included of course. Winter is fast approaching and attempting to find a place and move is not ideal. I'll do what I have to to keep my little family together. (Minus 1 that is.)
I was out most of the day and missed your post.
I am deeply sorry for what you're going through.
If you aren't "in a good place" You deserve better. You're smart and strong to know this.
You are brave stepping out into the world to find your own happiness.
I'll keep you in my thoughts and prayers ( lol even if I have to refer to you as "the flying nun" in my prayers).
We are here for you. You have something he doesn't have.
Us.
We are your friends.
:hugs

I am not bragging! My husband is in Montana with snow! I am so jealous! It was nice to work on the run in nice weather. Looks like tomorrow will be my last full work day due to rain. Hope I get it almost finished!!
If I were you I'd be bragging, lol. Good luck getting everything done tomorrow. Weather never cooperates when you need to get something done. It's either weather, parenting, or adulting that gets in the way. I was going to work on stuff couple weeks ago, but my older one had photos for competition so I spent the whole day dealing w/ that and by the time we were done it was dark, then the next day it rained! SMH. Don't they know we have chicken stuff to do?

Project manager means I help the site.
??
I'm half asleep and I left 10 mins ago to go to sleep.
Let me sleep on this and I'll get back to ya in the am.
Deal?
Ahh that makes sense.. I wondered how you were able to change the name of the thread.. DUhhhhhhhhh.

Odin’s wattles looks like they would get in the way. I hear sweaty balls get in the way too.

I tossed leaves in the run the other day and the chicks loved it! The excitement only lasted for 1 day though.
They do! (Odin's wattles, that is). I'll have to take a video of him eating/ drinking some day. It's funny to watch. He has to turn his head to the side. I feel bad for him. I read about this thing called Dubbing and it sounded horrific, but then after seeing Odin eat I think Maybe it's not a bad idea... although I certainly can't bring myself to mutilate my chicken.

I'm hoping the leaves will mix in w/ the mud and poop and make it less muddy. We have loads of leaves so I'm hoping if I keep adding new ones every few days it'll help them accept not being let out to range. We're getting a couple pumpkins on Monday to entertain them.. thankfully a couple facebook friends had some uncut pumpkins still. For some reason not a single local store has them anymore. Not even the farms have them... they must have tilled them into the soil the day after Halloween.
