Anyone have luck catching a feral chicken?? UPDATE: Rooster caught, no hen

:love:hugs

That is why I count on you for wisdom and advice :bow

Seriously, I learn so much on this thread!!! How to cook great meals, make fab desserts, grow taters and bok choy plus all sorts of stuff about chicken nutrition, behavior, and coop construction (that cattle panel hoop run looks like a great way to extend my current set up). You all are the best!

Chicken chums really are fantastic :D

Well, I got up to fifty four, and then quit. I spent 1 1/2 hours of my life reading this.

"URGENT!!Help!" Thread,
Tryin' be helpful for the past two hours but the OP is being
S o S l o w t o r e s p o n d
And I'm getting

And I'm afraid if I fall asleep and it hits the fan it'll be my fault her chicken dies :hit

Note to self: don't title it urgent if you're watching a movie instead of following well meaning advice.

No doubt! It won’t be your fault. Yoy can only do so much.

It looks good from the picture....it appears to be scabbing up. That is normal.
You want: no/less swelling, no redness around the wound, no pus, she appears to be leaving it alone (no scratching/rubbing). These are all good things. :)

Ok good. She's does scratch at it sometimes and likes to roll in the grass to try and rub it. I've kept her collar off unless we have to go out. It's cracking a little where she bends her neck but she seems better. It's not hot and it's not as red.

Should I try and soften or remove some of that crust? Or just keep treating as is?
