Anyone have luck catching a feral chicken?? UPDATE: Rooster caught, no hen

Yes, good night, sweet peeps! I went to the library and got 6 books, I'm on a psychological-thriller-reading-binge and I just can't stop...all snuggled up with a cup of hot chocolate and a smelly dog blanket on the couch. Heaven!! :)

I'll have to give you my recipe for hot chocolate mix.

:confused:Marking my spot.
I will have to catch up later, I've been 'working' at the Mini Mex's school all day..
:confused:How in the world do people with real jobs have time to cut up on here? Geez..

Can everyone go vote here please::confused:

(We are trying to see which one people like more...working on changing up some of the regular emojis):confused:

Some of us are longing for a real job again, but not good results.

Oh Sam! You gotta broaden your horizons! They prolly just don't have good sushi in Texas.

You ever come to Jersey, stop by! I will take you to the shore, we will drink beer by the ocean, I will ply you with lemondrop shots (if you are so inclined, that is), and then when you are good and silly, I will get you to eat a California roll, and perhaps suck down a few boiled clams in the shell in garlic butter and oil. You will be a True Believer.

Jersey seafood is a treat not too be missed! :drool
Amen sister!!:highfive:

Well, I am sittinf down for the first time today and my body hurts! Got the roof on, but not all is secured, I am still doing some thinking. I made a dust bath area for the crew, Sesame was very happy! I made her a new ramp to the roost and she used it!!!!! She was about to have a come apart because she couldn’t get to the other side of the coop to lay her egg today, so I had to give her temporary access to her spot. I am going to make her a new nesting box tomorrow and I think she will be happy.
The chicks will be 8 weeks old next week, I think. They are big enough I don’t worry. Are they hot? Are they cold? Blah, blah, blah.
Dh comes home Saturday. Tomorrow is my last work day to get the bigger things done.

So glad I'm not the only one w an insane kid.
One of mine was like that.
Tags, cuffs, waistbands, the wrong texture of certain fabrics, collars, zippers, the thread behind buttons.... the list was endless.
If we got lucky and found something that he said was comfortable we'd run out and buy it in multiples even if we had to put it on a credit card.
Some mornings I could get everyone else completely ready for school in the same amount of time it would take to get the right socks and underpants on him.
Shoes??!!
Omg.
Sometimes each shoe would have to be tied and retired dozens of times until they were neither too loose or too tight.

YOU. ARE. NOT. ALONE.

He's 27 now. He actually grew up moved out has a good job and takes good care of himself and his dog.

...small miracles.

I lost one of my chicks today :( my wife called me and told me a hawk had him up in the tree. The little guys keep squeezing through the fence. I think I fixed the problem but I was going to eat him when he got bigger. They aren't smart enough to stick close to the big guys :he . I saw the stupid hawk when I got home. Shot him with an acorn and a slingshot maybe he won't come back.

That's never a good phone call. Sorry. Even if he was going to be your diner later.
