That's so adorable. And not a small victory at all!Well folks, its the small victories that matter... 18+ month old granddaughter tonight got served up Salisbury steak, gravy and mashed potatoes. Broccoli was still cooking. Oh and Texas toast. When the serving dish was put on the table between us, she shoved her plate over and said "Please"... I gave her a scoop of broccoli and she devoured it, then shoved her plate over again and said "please".. gave her another scoop and she pulled her plate back at the broccoli and some more meat and then once again, shoved the plate over to me and said "please"... one more scoop and she went to town. She finished the broccoli, the meat, the Texas toast, all the gravy and most of the mashed taters. Then declared she was ready for a bath. I blame Tyler Florence for this... as since she's been eating solids, she's had nothing but farm fresh organics and every meal included greens. I made her yogurt from raw milk and her cheese from raw milk. The kid loves fresh organic food. It's a wonderful thing.
I really like Tyler Florence and his recipes are always good. When she was ready to move to solid food, I bought Tyler's cookbook. Every meal had different green stuff in it. And she learned to love the "green stuff" as a snack in between meals. I can hand her spinach, kale, broccoli, green beans, carrots, celery, etc and it's the best snack ever, unless you compare it to tomatoes or peaches. Chocolate is really cool, but tomatoes and fruit are better.
I've just been very busy the last two weeks.
How long does it take to get a job... 52 hrs from clicking submit on the application to getting the job offer.
I've been happily employed for 2 weeks, and love where I work.
I don't really do breakfast, since that takes time away from sleep, and I'm not normally a morning person anyhow. Yes, work starts in the morning for me, so the birds have had to adjust to an earlier bed time, as well as an earlier rise and shine. The first night they weren't to bed early they looked at me like I was taking them to the chopping block. The next morning, when I woke them up 4 hrs earlier than normal, they acted like teenagers being woke up before noon on a Saturday. They've adjusted though, and Nickalodian works well for entertainment (bright colors, stuff happening, and the keets love Paw Patrol).
The kids have really been helping out, they've cooked dinner a couple times, cleared the leaves of the driveway, and other little stuff that makes a big difference.
I'm a very happy camper.
For sure! @Anansi.....come out come out where ever you are. Ollie ollie oxen free (does anyone else rememeber that?)
Quick question. What is the best thing to put in the nesting box I can get in a small bag, probably at WalMart?
I tried fermenting a cup of food and I about vomited!! I had a stonger stomach when I worked 11 years ago in the GI Lab.
I was force holding the Crele this evening, and a couple of Cochins decided to jump up and sit on my foot. Then a Silkie jumped up in my lap, by the Crele, and then another Cochin jumped in my lap. It was heaven!! It really was a wish come true! I have always wanted to a chicken to come sit with me on its own.![]()
