Anyone have luck catching a feral chicken?? UPDATE: Rooster caught, no hen

Thanks for all the well wishes. I was able to take about an hour nap when my son went down for his nap. I am feeling a good bit better, but my nerves just feel raw. Everything is bothering me, rubbing me the wrong way, and making me feel frazzled. I just hope this goes away by tomorrow. Working with this sort of mental crap going on will be FUN......

So I'll tell the whole long story...
Lady shows up at the house today and says she heard I recently took in a young black cat. (I'm thinking it's here and she wants it back.) I say yes... She then tells me she thinks it's up the road injured. She's very sorry. Someone else saw the cat and it ran away limping.
Well... it can't be my cat. She's in the house. The lady then says she had seen "my cat" a few times. Very friendly and vocal. I agree that sounds like her but I don't let the cats out.
Soooo some other poor cat is injured. It's identical to the one we just took in. She tells me so & so put some food out by it but was going to check on in a little bit. I need yet another pet so I figure I'll let so & so deal with it.
He didn't. I found the poor thing barely alive. Barely as in I've listened for a heartbeat with a stethoscope to make sure.

I think she may be poisoned. She doesn't move. Not even to blink. Her pupils are so thin I can hardly see them. They don't dilate either.
She was ice cold. I brought her in and tried to warm her up. If I drip water onto her lips she will swallow but is drooling mostly. I don't feel anything broken or grossly out of place. She's fairly hydrated although thin.
I called the local humane society and someone will come out in the morning. I'm not sure she will make it that long. I have activated charcoal if there was a way to get it into her system.
Poor Baby. People are awful.:hit
