Worst chicken breed

Pics
I've never come across a breed that was consistently bad in any way, even in my limited experience of it. Individual chickens, sure. Maybe a whole group of birds that had come from one place, which could be down to either that line's breeding or how they were raised. Never an entire breed.

There are breeds that I personally don't like the look of, or wouldn't work well for me, but I just don't keep those.

Okay, please don't tell @The Moonshiner I said this bc I really like and respect him and I don't want him to be mad at me, and he raises them and all, but for my money the worst breed is - and this is just based on my own experience, you understand - ... but ... Leghorns. Especially Brown Leghorns. Sure, they lay an egg a day and all, but there is no chicken more feral or skittish or terrified of people from literally hatch day on than a Brown Leghorn. You cannot tame them, or at least I could not. Poor things were just terrified all the time. I felt like it would be a kindness to put them down. It was sad.

I actually love leghorn because they don't eat much and lay a whole lot, I don't care that they are skittish because they're such great layers.

In the beginning skittish meant predator awareness and survivability to me.

True that! We got BL and EE at the same time as day-olds, and by the time they were old enough to lay, about half the EE had been eaten but none of the BL. So there's that.

Brown leghorns are flighty which makes them an excellent breed for free ranging but they're not invisible. They still need a secure coop at night. I lost 2 when I first started raising them but I haven't lost any since (having dogs helps) Leghorns are active which changes the whole dynamics of the flock. They're not a good fit for every flock(they are fiercely loyal to their flockmates)

Sussex and Amberlink chickens are horrible. My Sussex are mean to me and my bantams. They are two years old and still have not laid ONE egg. Almost all of my Pekins are either dead or are in a different run. My Amberlinks don’t lay eggs, they also fight and I had a roo kill one of my Pekins right in front of me. The Sussex and Amberlink hens are like mean roosters that lay eggs. They aren’t smart and don’t go inside their coop. so i’m thinking of removing the run and their coop and let them get eaten.
Now, I’ve gotten a second batch of SS hens, and for some reason, these girls are the sweetest birds i’ve ever owned! I get larger, pinkish-brown eggs, so i’m wondering if I just got a bad batch?
