I think EE too. Mine was the extra "rare" breed chick from McMurrays in my dad's order last spring. He looked just like that as a baby. His pic is in my avatar. (He ended up becoming an obnoxious roo and later stew:/.)

Looks like a buttercup rooster. They're a little more flighty than other breeds and are built rather like a pheasant.
This may not be the appropriate thread for my question but it is about Welsummer. Thought since you all have experience with those you might know. I have 2.5 week old pullets (2 australorp, 3 barred rock, 2 brown leghorn, 3 red star/golden comet and 3 white rocks) along with a welsummer cockerel. Little Henry is growing so much slower than the girls! Since I don't have a girl welsummer to compare him to, I'm wondering if it is because of gender or breed? I'm afraid all the girls will hurt him (accidentally or intentional, I'm new to chickens!) So my question: Is this normal? Is there anything I can do to help him? I've been giving him boiled egg yolk. I see him eating the chick starter often so I don't think that's a problem. Any advice or info appreciated!
