I just discovered my black breasted red Phoenix sitting on a clutch of 5 eggs. She is serial broody. We have never let her hatch eggs before. They are her owns and when candled are developing nicely. The dad is most likely a French black copper marans. He was the leader of the pack. However, second runner up was a French wheaten marans. Feathered shanks all. I'm guessing just small versions of the dad?
