Anyone heard of Oregon gray turkeys?

i bought a pair of them.

is this an oregon gray?
Im asking this because ive never heard of them.

Hmm... sorry, never heard of them and I even researched Heritage breeds back in the spring. That's not sayin' I didn't miss some info. I do know a lot of people tend to cross breeds to make up there own or bring one (that is extremely rare or extinct) back into production.

They are a real breed of heritage turkey, and were extremely rare back in 1998 according to an SPPA turkey census that Feathersite has on their website. The census only found one breeding pair, but that doesn't mean that was all there was then.
 
There are people on this forum that know their turkeys and will respond when they read your post. Hang in there. I love turkeys, but don't know squat about them, yet. But others here do.

Or, a pair of oregon greys from a breeder who has neglected to inform any agencies that they have them. The ALBC doesn't even have the breed listed because they believe it to be extinct.​
