These are my two cochie bantam cockerels, they were hatched sometime in November, I don't think they'll get much bigger!

H
He got shot 4 times! Then thrown in the trash.

I'm still jealous! I need to find a produce guy!

I woulda kicked him in the ribs for eating my buddy roo.
My handy dandy critter killer (who calls me a girl) is also my produce dude. I have a bushel of leaf lettuce, spinach, kale, cabbage, collards and grapes. This makes happy chickens. Lol.

Your local grocer may save stuff for you. My chicks eat it up!

I have a large family and they always give me their old apples and stuff they freeze and forget about. I have been serving my girls soup made from all the stuff they gave me all winter. I figure if they clean out their freezers once a year I will have a lot of extra feed. I also get a lot of feed bread. But I don't want my chickens to eat too much of it so I give some to my neighbors who have chickens. I only use it on nasty days like when it's raining or really cold gives them something to do. I also use some of it as a base for homemade deer blocks for my mom and dad.

Honestly I was so scared of him it was all I could do to throw him away. I have never seen a possum before.... He weighed at least 20lbs!! Scariest looking thing!

That's really nice of him to do that! We all need that person lol

Yes we do! I know that people join Facebook groups and there's swap at some tractor supplies but I'm not sure what else other than that!

Brittsplace, do you live near Gilbert?

I am about an hour and a half from there so not too far. lol I live in the middle of nowhere. Like no kidding even when I was in school people would ask oh where do you live and I was like oh you know Clear Fork area and they would be like HUH?!

That's a great idea! I find bags of old bread and stuff on my gate often from nice neighbors. I bet the chickens love the stew! And its so good for them. My parrot eats everything I eat. Even chicken bones. He cracks them. We have an urban deer hunt here in town. The wildlifes taking over the capital city!

Ya know...he won't hurt ya after he's dead. Lol. Sorry... lol. People actually eat them! When they give birth, the babies are so small, you can fit six or so in a tablespoon. But so ugly!
