Anyone in WV???

I'm so jealous! LOl. I do have a bit of woods on one end of my property, but not much. I so want out of the city.

I have my moments. I'm from Reno Nevada, born and raised. Hubby was born and raised (pretty much in the house we live in now) here. I'm still adjusting to it. I lived in a suburban type area where I was allowed chickens and horses, but Wal-Mart was 2 miles away, took 20 minutes to get about anywhere, always so many things going on, it's really new to be being here

Oh thank you. I really wanna try the bator out before the BCM's start laying.

I don't blame you! I bought an incubator with silkie eggs halfway through their hatching. I got 7 :) one has wry neck though

Charleston is about an hour away but we are down there quite frequently for the flea markets and the capitol farmer's market. I am about 45 minutes from Marmet. I am close to Boone county but still in raliegh

Hey, it's "new chicky mommy", I downloaded the app and got a new username In the process.

Depending where in Charleston, I'm 40 minutes to an hour or so away

I was born and raised in Chicago, Il, and my folks moved us to Boone county WV when I was in 6th grade. Big change! Reno is beautiful! My brother lives in Las Vegas. My daughter and grandkids live in Logan county, WV. I want more chickens, turkeys, ducks and goats. Lol.

We have a bunch of chicken folk here in Charleston. I love the flea market. There's an auction right past flea market on Friday nights. The capital farmers mkt is nice but has gotten expensive. I started up the west side farmers mkt, but it failed. I thought about hatching a bunch of chicks and selling them at flea mkt before Easter, but afraid they wouldn't all go to good homes. People let their kids torture baby animals. Used to be able to buy dyed chicks for Easter. Most died miserably I'm sure.
