Anyone in WV???

I hope they damaged their car! I hope they are too, we'll find out soon.
Hahahaha Marsha! Darn auto correct! I'll let you know! I need a better incubator

mine sucks. I think all my hens are done being broody
Do your hens have copper on them?

I'm so sorry about the ducks. And just when you started getting eggs! Are you going to try to incubate the ones they laid?

I hate auto correct!!!! I typed that they should get the same thing the opossum got! Lol. People probably think I have a bit of senility. Lol.

Yes my hens have a copperish sheen on them. They all have feathers on their feet too like the French ones. I paid a lot for them as day old chicks. I have three chicks less than a week old and put more eggs in the incubator. I live them...but my room is the devil. If one of these chicks is a good too, the devil may just go see that rainbow bridge. Lol.

I hate confining birds, it's so muddy here and it's my own personal thing that I hate seeing birds in mud and in an unnatural environment. I try to do everything as natural as possible. I hate seeing birds in cages too. Ok rant over lol We're working on a fence line along the road to encourage them to go to the back 15 acres. I wish they could have at least tried to avoid them or even come up and said sorry. Idk maybe I'm weird cause I would have.

I'm sorry for coming off so harshly. We don't confine many birds either but some must be penned for their own good and for the good of the hens and pullets. I do know the sting of losing a beloved animal due to other's being deliberately cruel.

That's ok, not nearly as mean someone else said to me. We're doing chicken wire 3/4 foot tall along the road to try to encourage them. The chickens stay but the ducks really like to play in the ditches :( we're going to finish it before I put the potential babies I have coming, come.

If you don't get babies, I can give you some eggs, but they wont be crested like the last ones. The crested drake is on my pond now, not with my female. I chose to breed her with the more black male instead. But...depending on the sex of the ducklings she just hatched, I may swap some around.

Oh I totally agree. I realize accidents happen but this wasn't one:(

Where did you get them from?? They're hard to find with copper on the hens!! Hahaha I hate evil roos!! I just hatched out these three babies, they're light Brahma roo with a blue Orpington/maran cross :)

Well shoot, I'll add pics in a different post

Let me know if you put them in with your crested male, I'd love some crested ones again, they're just something about them

I will let you know if they hatch out

Soooo cute!!

Moonshine, the light Brahma roo from you is doing well with my girls. Wearing a couple favorites out, but they seem to like him. :D He will lunge at me from time to time, but usually he behaves. ;)

And one of the OEGB girls I got from you just hatched 4 chicks, and now another one is sitting on 8 eggs. Will post some pics tomorrow from the computer, but my favorite pic is my avatar now ;)
