Anyone interested in a MIXED WATERFOWL swap??

Oh yes! Every type of waterfowl would be acceptable

Just trying to see if there would be enough interest in one before it gets started

Oh Lord, I have mallards and khaki's running free all over the place!!! Everytime I mow and weedeat I find nests everywhere. I hatched out 42 of their eggs last week and have some very pretty colored ducklings. Out of those two breeds I have about 7 different color ducklings. Yellow, black, chocolate, you name it. I will trade too. Fertility has been EXCELLENT, everytime I look up the drakes are taking care of business.

why cant you guys join the other swap? and then people can just choose for themselves if they want to take the mixed or the pure? whats with all the snooty swaps lately?

That one is for all the 'breeders'. They even get gripey when someone has mixed colors, but since the rules don't state that pure birds with mixed colors are a no-no, they let them slide. I agree, there are way too many snooty swaps lately. Why can't they just be happy? It's not like they can't sell what they hatch

Oh I can understand why the pure swaps want to keep them pure. I am sure no one would want to trade pure for mixed eggs but I am glad there are some mixed eggs swaps going now as well.

I agree, I understand why they want to keep them pure, but in the case of myself and chickenlisa, for example, it is highly likely that the eggs would be pure. Hers especially, as I believe she has swedish ducks and drake(s) and cayuga ducks. Mine is a bit more of a mix, though my cayuga is hiding her nest, and the pair sticks together. It would be possible for the drake to mate with the other ducks, but each group is very protective of their 'women' so it is highly unlikely. I just think it is silly how many different swaps there are for eggs right now, everyone is being so picky!

Let me know when you start up is it going to be a swap where we all send some one else eggs or a chain? Either way count me in I have been boiling up massive quantities of duck eggs 'cause there is not enough room in the incubators for all that they have started to lay.
