I live in Washington and got married in Idaho. We wanted the small wedding so, we ran away for the weekend and got married at the hitching post. It was easy to get the licence, just call and find out what the requirements are for that state. We just showed up at the office fill out some paper work and that was it. Good luck on your marrige.

getting married in Hawaii is fairly easy ...

getting the license, depends on which island,
probably easiest on Kauai where you get the
license right in the local Foodland store !!

and you could probably meet Opihiman911 ...

on Maui, you have to get an "appointment" with
the local marriage-license issuer ... but you
will have enough time to do that easily
(we didn't ... long story ... but came out fine)

Oahu, I'm not sure, but my younger son married
there, said the marriage license was no problem

(no blood test, no wait period)

If you dont mind me asking, blood test for what? I thought it was strange enough when they asked if we were related.

Blood tests are kind of a holdover from the good old days. Some states test for STDs, but more importantly the Rh factor

Basically if an Rh negative woman marries an Rh positive man (this is in your blood type, understand, like O positive, A negative) she has a 50/50 chance of getting pregnant with an Rh positive baby. If any blood were to pass between the mother and child in utero or during delivery, than the woman's immune system would begin to make antibodies against the Rh factor. As if it were a foreign tissue.
This is not really an issue in the first pregnancy, but if the woman were to carry another Rh positive child the antibodies would already be present in her system and would begin to attack the child in utero. It can lead to severe anemia and death of the child in utero.

There is now a shot they routinely give woman after they give birth if the woman is Rh negative that protects future pregnancies.

Does this explain it?

It's also not strange that they ask if you are related. Some families have members that are carriers of certain genetic diseases such as Tay Sachs and Cystic Fibrosis. Obviously if you were related and you were carriers, there would be a greater chance of your child being born with the illness.

congratulations, i'm very happy for you!
