Interesting markings- I wonder what kind of cross would bring about that colouring?? Gorgeous stripe down the neck though. It has a very fine head too- with a very wedge shaped bill, maybe that could help narrow down the possibilities.

The first thing that poped to my mind was a runner cross goose

I have no idea why! But it looks somewhat runner like. Do you have a pic of it out of the water and standing?

If it was capable of flight and flew off with the Canada geese, I would guess that it might be a Canada/domestic cross.
