Anyone know what this noise means?

My ten made that noise for a few weeks as they matured. Joke was they were imitating geese.

Now their bock bocks sound properly chicken like.

She's looking for her flockmates.
Her voice is changing, should be crowing, I mean cackling soon. GC

you can gently massage her throat. If there is something in there it will help it clear. On the plus side is she is making noise she is getting air. Is she eating and drinking

This is true. Makes me feel a bit better.

I have 75 chickens currently and have had others in the past and this is the first time I have heard this. I did massage her throat last night and will keep an eye on her.

Some weight toward it being a buddy call is that every chicken in the coop, the run and the yard stood still to listen. Haha... We'll see
