Hi, I have two silkie hens that are about 10 months old, and I am pretty sure they have scaly leg. I have been trying to soak their legs and gently scrub, but they now seem to be getting worse. Also, I just noticed that each hen has these little black scab-like things on the bottom of her feet. I know what to do in terms of home-care, but I need a vet that lives near me, so I can take them in. I am around the west side of Phoenix, AZ. Anyone have a recommendation???

I found this by searching for "avian vet Phoenix":

There are others listed here:

FYI, I read that you should not remove the scales because the raw areas can introduce infection. I also read that people use Ivomec to treat both internal and external parasites in poultry. I have not tried it yet with poultry. In horses, it works for not just internal parasites, but it also kills external parasites like lice.

Thank you soo much! I didn't even think to search "avian". I was searching "exotic" and "bird". I found a good one near me thanks to you! :)
