Anyone Know Which Vampire Movie This Was?

When I was very young, I saw a vampire movie that frightened me. The movie was probably very corny but it has stuck in my mind. It was a color movie but made in the fifties or sixties.

A man in Europe is traveling. For some reason he needs a place to stay. He boards with a family in what I think is a manor house.

The scene that frightened me was when the youngest son of the family-a little boy- became a vampire. In the middle of the night, he rose from the grave and began beating on the doors calling for his mama.

I don't remember if the doors were open for him or not. I think that gradually all the family become vampires.

Does anyone have any idea which Vampire movie this was? I'd love to rewatch it to see if it frightened me again.

I had good luck finding 2 movies that I could not get on vhs or dvd with classics2dvd.com or maybe it was classicstodvd.com, but I don't think so. Good luck. The man probably paid for copyright privledges and copies old movies for you upon request. Very reasonable prices too.

You not perhaps talking about Salem's Lot are you? Although the scene I am thinking about was a brother asking his brother to let him in. But that was in the 70's.

Roman Polanski made a vampire film set in europe in the early-mid 1960's that starred his future wife Sharon Tate. Sharon and another male character were put up for the night by a couple in a small eastern European village. Dont' recall the name of the film, or a scene of the boy calling his mama. Look up filmography on RP and ST.

Found it!! Dance of the Vampires or The Fearless Vampire Killers 1967.

Looking it up now, I am not certain if it is the same movie or not. Maybe I can be this movie on my Blockbuster list and have it sent to me. Then I can check it out myself
