Anyone knows what breed are these?

As many before have said, Red Sex-link cockerels. The reason they are called sex-links is that at hatch, the chicks can be sexed by their down. So if you'd known what you were looking for/at, you could have picked all girls.

Also, in the future, where you see the red in their wing bows/shoulder, is pretty specific to only males. So even if the bird was black, or blue, or barred in color and had red in those places, you could pretty much guarantee it's also a male.

True, but that only works when there is an accurate breed label.

A bin that contains red chicks and white ones might be red sexlinks (red females, white males), or it might have Rhode Island Reds (both genders are red) and White Leghorns (both genders are white.) There are plenty of other red breeds and white breeds, too.

What I stated is true if the bin had correctly labeled Red Sex-links. Which is the hope, if not always the reality, when shopping for new chicks at a feed store. Chances are there were some labels though, and stopping to Google on your phone could at least steer you in the right direction. Why pick up white chicks at all if the bin had photos of adult RIR, RSL, WL, and BR? Go for the Barred Rocks. Or the Silver-laced Wyandottes. Or the assorted batams, or Polish.

My point was and still is, if the buyer is educated on the type of chicken they are supposed to be looking at, in this case RSL, it would be obvious to not choose white chicks in a tub that only had RSL in it.

Anyone with half a lick of sense working at a feed store would surely not dump sexed chicks into a tub of straight-run chicks that have the same down colors. That's just stupid. I'd make them go print a clearance sign right then and then fire them on the spot if I was their supervisor.

Of course, if I was their supervisor, I'd have just done it myself because I don't trust people to not mess up what should be a relatively simple task even with explicit instruction.
