Is it possible she is being bullied by her flock members...? Are any of your other birds showing symptoms like the bird in question?

Thanks for replying. Not really getting bullied, another one had what I thought to be an injury, I cleaned it up and now it's all large and scabbed upnow it kind of look scabby.

I’m thinking you may have a bully in your flock. Polish (and other crested birds) often get really wet when getting water, too. So I don’t think she’s sick. I think one of the others may be bullying it.

Have you checked inside her mouth for any plaque deposits or lesions of sorts? What does their feeder, and setup look like? Is she eating, and drinking well? Any other symptoms?

To me, it looks like it could be something like Fowlpox, Papilloma virus, or some sort of environmental issue, such as a feeder being too tiny for her to properly get feed which is causing the abrasion around the area, or she's being bullied. I would personally, try dapping a bit of an antibacterial ointment, or something like Terramycin, to keep the area from getting to infected, and just monitor it. Of course, whatever is causing the problem needs to be addressed as well, or it will eventually reoccur, if it is environmentally related.

The bird also appears to be slightly cross beaked. Not sure if anyone else noticed that. :idunno
