Anyone like the brinsea brooder plate?

I liked the idea of a plate....
...but not the price so made my own using a heating pad:

Likely molasses got them moving. ACV is more snake oil. One they get eating good, pasty butt shouldn't be an issue...unless they get too hot or cold.

only downside I've found with the Brinsea is that their max. capacity estimation is off.

That's for sure...on any plate...as bad as the dollhouse coop capacities.

Very well could be. This might sound ridiculous, but I think they enjoy the taste of ACV and therefore drink a little bit more. I think I've noticed that they react a little bit when I fill with ACV water. Maybe simply like the taste and drink more water, staying hydrated longer.

Don't know, might be wishful thinking.
