Everyone says you can't tame a duck, I beg to differ. My ducks are like puppy dogs! They follow me around everywhere, they let me pet them, they eat out of my hand, they are super sweet! Anyone else's ducks like this? Let me know! Also, anyone need help learning how to do it? They don't have to be babies! Mine weren't when I started taming them!

You can tame a duck, but it really depends on the duck. Some ducks just won't have it. 2 of my girls follow me around everywhere and love being picked up and pet, but the other 2 prefer to be left alone. It has a lot to do with how much human contact the duck had while it was growing up. One of my ducks was feral so she was living in the wild before I took her in. She was raised by ducks, without people around. Because of this, she doesn't really want anything to do with people. If you try to touch her or pick her up she will FREAK out.

Give me your secrets! @Duck mommy2020's ducks love her as well!
It's really easy! Start by feeding them about 2 to 5 feet away from you every day, (whatever they are comfortable with) it takes a lot of patience...I get back with you on the rest tonight
PS: iT doesn't have to be treats either, I could just be their duck pellets!

Yes, I have pekin duck, so it would probably take much longer for a wild duck. My friend has wild ducks and they dint really like her that much but she never spends time with them either...her duck bit me. Mine bite! But only my fingers when im feeding them out of my hand or they think I have food,😁😂

Mine only like to bite my feet lmAo, its not aggressive they just kind of play with my feet until they bleed... wearing shoes or socks is the only way I can go out lol whenever they see the toes they attack

I would love help, both for the two babies my hubby and I bought the other day, and an adult that we rescued less than a month ago.
The adult is a male khaki campbell, and has been slowly letting me get closer when I go to feed him. He let me stand 2 feet away from him today, as I brought him a treat of some peas!
That's great! Sounds like you're on the right track. Patience is key!!
