petco often has a decent color assortment, also their employees are idiots and mix up what fish is in what cup. so you could very well find a HM in as cheaper cup

other good thing about them is the stuck that they buy from is HM, but most of the fish are fairly young, so their fins may grow a ton for ya.

I went to the 2 Petcos in town that carry the pertiest colors & such of bettas, but they didnt have that many. They said to call Wednesday cuz their shipments are sporadic which I find pretty crappy but oh well. Hopefully they will have better ones coming in. I know what you mean about them not knowing anything. They really dont xD
