Anyone owned Blue Hamburgs?

Hi,i am thinking of buying some blue hamburg chicks next spring and am wondering if anyone has owned them and could they tell my a little about the breed. I am looking for a breed that does well being in a run and not free range and is a good laying breed. Also I am wondering if anyone has mixed a buff orpington with a blue hamburg. I am wanting to get all the info I can so I can narrow down my choices
