Anyone please? Will the sock method work for less than day old baby chick with spraddle legs?

I noticed spraddle legs on one of my chicks last night, but then I thought it was normal since they had hatched just then and were too weak. I thought it'd be gone by the morning but it's still there, I used the sock method, using a very small sock, not too tight to block the veins and not to loose to allow the chick to get out, how long should I wait? Considering he was born 12 hours ago and still has pretty soft bones.

Do you have photos of your just hatched chick?
Take off the wrappings and see if the legs are corrected.

I don't have any photos right now and I can't seem to take a proper one. I did this in the morning and when I checked it in the afternoon it had got out of the bandage... I did it again, I'll be waiting till tomorrow, how long does it usually take them to fix?
