Glad to see so many are sticking with it and doing well.
I have been super busy working in the garden (yes LOTS of exercise) and enjoying some yummy healthy home made meals! (the big part of my goals) not sure I have lost an ounce, but have to think my body is healthier too
I did everything right again this week!! Very few Treats.
I even started eating my Protiens earlier in the day to kick start my body etc. I have not eaten anything after 6 pm at night!!!!
I even walked out a lot with the dogs!!!!!
And guess what guys
I put on 2 lbs this week! Not even gonna register it on the weight chart!!
Oesdog - my body betrays me!!!!
Went back to work this week - with all the stress, never remembering to pack a lunch and good snacks, and depending on what the cafeteria calls good. I really need to come up with a game plan. I can bring a lunch pack/cooler thing, but I need to get better at what to put in it, and better at what to bring for lunch. When I was at home, I just MADE something good. Can't really bust out the hot plate and cook me some eggs in my cube
Ideas? I'm good with only gaining a pound, because it was REALLY hard, and I figured I'd put on more!!
Down 10 pounds since we started!! Surprised I lost any, I wasn't all that good this week, but I think just cutting out the extra coffee creamer and no late snacking is doing the trick.
oesdog, you may need to really start counting calories. I couldn't believe that my coffee creamer was adding almost 4,200 calories a week to my waistline!!! There's something in your eating
habits that's not working for you. Smartpeople really got me looking at my choices. You've got to find the culprit!!
Sorry, it must be so frustrating for you.
booker81, we're all about the baby steps!! You do what you can, the biggest part is not getting discouraged. Oesdog is a great example for us. Sure, we may not lose a ton of weight, but I think we all feel healthier because we're making better choices. Bring some boiled eggs. Everyone will know when you're dipping into your lunch box.
I've been buying those round multi-grain bread thins and red pepper hummus. I also use Neufchâtel cheese rolled in a tortilla. For the kid's lunches I roll a couple of pieces of ham or turkey slices in it too. I NEVER buy chips for lunches. Preparing your lunch the night before will help you pack better.
Glad to see you! I always feel better when I'm busy in the spring with all my outside duties. I love working in the yard. Today is a beautiful day so I'm getting out there to enjoy it before the winds pick up!!

Thanks for that. I get so discouraged at time sbecause my weight wont go!!!!!!!! - I only use Semi Skimmed milk in my coffee NO sugar and I drink it nearly black. Also I cut a lot of it out and now drink water with my meals. I felt thiner and fitter but my weight wont change.
I also changed a lot of habbits. I now take breakfast when I started out I never ate breakfast. I used to eat just a slice of toast and jam but elizabethbinary got me to think of taking protien earlier in the day so I eat an egg or mussilli. I also go for fruit when the others are eating cakes. I deliberately put a bowl of fruit on the coffee table so when they reach for the cakes to offer me one I just grab an apple or banana instead!
So I am trying - though today I felt bloated and awful?

My girlfriend packed us a lunch on a cute country drive and I was so impressed with what she put out for me... the night before she grilled eggplant and peppers and put them in a sandwich with goat's feta, a little bit of olive oil, some lemon, salt and pepper and on ciabatta bread. (she's vego) and then she pulled out handmade tiny pikelets (pikelets are aussie for 'mini pancake') with homemade stewed berries to sweeten it! It was delicious!!
My packed lunches tend to be homemade oat bran and honey muffins, a vegetarian sandwich like above, a bag of muesli (toasted nuts, oats and raisins/sultanas), some bits of good cheese (to make it worth it) and grapes, a peach or banana, a tin of tuna and some whole wheat crackers (I have a recipe for my own crackers if you want), and some lemon soda water (with my own soda machine so it's just water/lemon with fizz, no aspartame).
I should mention I drive for a living so I have a big lunch to keep me snacking on for hours instead of as one big meal, so I eat more.
OENSdog, if you have an iPhone I can recommend some excellent dietary/calorie applications.
