Anyone ready to ring in the new year...and lose weight/get fit?

What you will find in this group, is that none of us are the type to 'down' anyone. We are the types of people you'd like to have as neighbors. It seems as if everyone I know has been going through years of stress lately. That's why we need to lose weight.

I think you are beautiful! You look great! I had lost 8 pounds and could really tell the difference, then gained them all back by being inactive for a month from being way too sick. Because the weight gain was so quick, I could see the change in my face. I like eight pounds 'down' better.
I am still unable to get back to my exercise, but at least I am becoming mindful again.

I appreciate you showing the pictures. You are brave. I has helped me. I was thinking last night-as I was eating the chocolate bar- that I was going to have to read this entire thread again in order to get my determination back, and you did it in one post!

Thanks! I hope you stay with us here. we need the inspiration.

Thanks for the positive words!

We ended up pulling our son and i'm homeschooling him; granted, I live in one of THE most lenient states when it coes to homeschooling..so its pretty much what i want to do..my only requirements is when he's in HS keep a gradebook and teach in english..thats about it..

Somedays we do great; other days we forgo it..but we make it up..

YOU can do it too...I understand about kids not having friends; DS has none except some older HS youth group ones..but they only hang with him on sundays at Y. Group..but I am grateful to God he has them!

We'll pull through this..maybe we can be PM buddies!

Momagain-you are beautiful and your children are too! I love the picture of all of you on the couch- I have been having a stressful week too, and am pretty sure I will be up again, but I HAVE been paying attention to my eating! Yes, I had some chocolate on Wednesday, and I also had a Angus Mushroom Burger at McDonald's this week (I LOVE them, but I rarely splurge on them), but I was fully aware of what I was doing this time and tried very hard the rest of the day. You're in good company here.

That's incredible!! I think it's good to take a break from time to time, as long as you know you do have to get back on track. Good for you!!!

WILDORCHID: WAY TO GO!!! 6 lbs in one week is SUPERB...

I gained two pounds!!! Well... 2 1/4 but who's counting!! (I wish my scale didn't use grams, it makes me obsessive).

I know it's been like 3 weeks, but I am two pounds up! It seems to be really really really hard to gain weight. I'm eating a lot, too. I'm even eating carbs before bed.

BUT TWO POUNDS!

Nice to see you here momagain! You look gorgeous!

Thanks!!

Now; its 633, no kiddos, hubby sleeping for work..and here I sit..I could be up doin something like oh..I dunno..treadmill; I coulda went to taekwondo tonight..I could fix a NICE supper for me..
but not I ate three servings of tortilla chips and spicy barbecue sauce..(why? because I binged due to not eating today..ugh..) and 3 servings of tortilla chips is not much..

so now I wasted 12 of my weight watchers poitns on empty calories, I'm starving because now my body is like WHAT? FOOD? I WANT MORE....so now I'm contemplating more chips
because in my eyes; I'm not worth it to fix a nice meal for by myself...see how that works??
ugh..

(and my basement is gonna flood..its pouring here..)

We all have our own ways of approaching our goals but we've all tried very hard to be supportive to each other in striving toward those goals. I'm sure you will be a great addition to the group.
