Anyone ready to ring in the new year...and lose weight/get fit?

Or... take it and promptly toss it in the bin. You worry about hurting their feelings, and then they call you fat.
They can't be the center of the universe. I am trying for that position.

We love you, osedog!

The silk brand has a new milk, made from coconut, it is awesome! Has a definate coconut flavor so wouldn't work for everything, but worth trying.

My husband took me to Applebees for lunch today, and I made some good choices. I got my favorite salad there the grilled shrimp/spinach salad, and had them put the dressing on the side, and only used about 1.5 teaspoons of it. I also had water to drink, even though I wanted to try the 100 calorie margarita or mojito, even though it was just 100 cals, the ETOH would slow the metabolism down for many hours so I didn't do it, especially since earlier this week I splurged w/ the Ben and Jerry's.

Good Job Kassaundra

I made some spagetti sauce yesterday... put lots of fresh yellow peppers, vadahlia onions, and sliced button mushrooms in it....I used low fat beef (80/20) and drained it before adding to sauce. I baked a spagetti squash in the oven in a deep dish with water in it covered with tin foil for nearly 2 hrs. Then I scooped some of the squash on to my plate.. Covered it with a 1/2 of cup of sauce.. whala.. lunch... and it sure was good.

I know I could have used turkey... or venison.. but my family was going to eat the bulk of it.. soo figured beef once in a blue moon wasnt going to do too much damage..... I guess the scales will tell me tomorrow

Good job for you too, Renie. Spag. squash is always such a good choice. I make my sauce extra chunky w/ good veggies too, and most of the time just eat the sauce.

Way to go you guys! I am so very proud of you all... still fighting to do well, making healthy choices! I couldn't have picked a better group for support!!!
