Anyone ready to ring in the new year...and lose weight/get fit?

I have done the jelly thing before and it helped a lot. I lost 1 and a half stone about 18months ago so far have kept the majority off!!! I really want to lose another stone at least. I need loads of encouragement though. -
Today I only had half a slice of toast for breakfast and a slice of toast with an egg for lunch. I did however have a cake after but was good enough to close the lid after one and walk away!!! ( I am working on limitation!!!) That is my issue if I take one I would sit and eat them all!!!!!!! If I don;t eat breakfast I can stay away from food all day - It's that first sin that causes the slide into a downward spiral if self distruction. I have no self control!!!!!! I am trying to not have any desserts at all after dinner in the evenings. I just know if I have one then I will have a biscuit with a cuppa after and an hour later it will be chocolate and then something like cheese and wine and - well you know how it goes!!!!!!!

I did, however, manage to drag my butt back to Zumba last week, and I'm craving it already! Going again tomorrow and Friday. I've also been trying to track my calories using the "loseit" app on iphone. Anybody have that? It's really nifty!
 
I had my first meeting with my personal trainer. It was an initial assessment and stuff like measurements. Couldn't she have just looked at me and said I was fat and out of shape? Did I really need to have her measure that many body parts, and WRITE DOWN the measurements? Did I?

I had a turkey sandwich for lunch on whole grain bread, I put onions and lettuce on it and then thought long and hard about that slice of 90 calorie cheese... I put the cheese back!

Yeah, I kinda went all out for dinner and did chicken wings in the slow cooker with ketchup, soy sauce, ginger, garlic, brown sugar, onions and rice wine vinegar. I then reduce the sauce when they are done to pour over them and then they are sticky wings!

But I am making a side salad with a simple olive oil and balsamic vinegar vinegarette... just a pinch of salt and pepper.

Then for dessert.... some wasa crackers w/ salsa.

eating chicken caccatori over polenta.. cut up 4 boneless skinless breasts and put into crockpot. added a chopped bell pepper. one onion, mushrooms and a dash of wine and a can of crushed tomatoes 3 chopped garlic cloves and a light pinch of red pepper flakes, salt and pepper. cooked all day and when i got home i opened the polenta in a tube and sliced it into patties and browned in a pan with only pam spray in it.. has all you need and it was delicious. polenta was 120 calories and the caccatori i ate was around 200 mostly veggies in it.. leaves room for a dessert later if you want it
 
wildorchid, I want to eat at your house tonight. That sounds so yummy. I'm getting tired of my own cooking.

I did 30 minutes on the elliptical trainer today. It didn't hurt my knees at all.

Cereal, mushroom soup, 2 pieces of toast, and a chicken enchalada (sp?) that my mum made - though in my defense, I have odd eating habits. I will go a day without eating, then a day where I snack on (usually) healthy foods all day. My dr. actually told me to get trail mix and fruit/veg. and to eat every 3 ish hours...Though I am NOT good at remembering to eat!
Also haven't been able to do any more exercising, started but had to stop

. My ankle is going down hill from previous injury, and my elbow has been having some very painful, pressure like feelings in the joint

I did check my weight again today though, lost a little bit, so I'm happy enough!

lol and I would love it if I had a personal trainer!!! BUT would not feel comfortable getting measured like crazy
