Anyone ready to ring in the new year...and lose weight/get fit?

Hi all, newbie here, I started my diet three weeks ago on Wednesday and have lost a few pounds already, (I added my name to the spreadsheet, what a clever idea!). Hopefully a couple more pounds will have gone by tomorrow. I have been very good food wise but unfortunately I do like a glass or two of vino at the weekends....

Allright...I'm here....

We actually started a weight loss contest of sorts at work on 1/23. It goes for 2 months, each person put in $20, and whoever loses the biggest percentage of body weight in that time, wins $150, 2nd place gets $50 (we had 10 people join). So...seemed like a good time to do what I've been needing to do for a while.

The biggest thing for me is cutting out all the fast food.

5' 5" 189.6 to start
goal weight 160

Here....we....go.......

I think I have done pretty well this week. The dress I have on now was very tight last time I wore it, but it feels a bit loose in the sleeves and across the waist today!

Best wishes, everyone!

That is such a good feeling when that happens. I remember putting on a lovely frock I wonted to wear, it was the kind with buttons down the front. I put it on and there was litterally at least a 5 inch gap ok maybe 6 in places right down the front were it wouldn't close!!!!!!!!! I was sooooooo shocked as I had not put the frock on for a bit!!!
Well I put it on about 3 months ago and it actually does up now - but I sure would like it to do up and not look like the buttons will pop off and hit some poor soul in the eye ball!!!! -

I think I'm going to be up two pounds tomorrow...I really don't want to know. I've been eating more meat, and not tracking as well, but I've been exercising everyday. I've either done strength training or the elliptical trainer.

I quit on those button up the front sort of dresses. I had a couple that would randomly start coming undone while I wasn't paying attention. I'd look down and have just a couple of not very strategically placed buttons holding the whole thing on. I could have seriously hampered some poor child's development.

There are 3 of us at work doing the same thing! Except whoever wins, the other people have to buy them a healthy snack. We started on New Year's Day and are weighing in monthly to see who loses the most. Just a little extra incentive.
